這是我參加過感覺最好的科學研討會，原因只有一個，因為凸弟是其中的主講報告者，此外更可實際參觀仍是直接核融合一哥的OMEGA-60 (also simply called OMEGA) and OMEGA EP (Extended Performance)巨型雷射系統，參觀後除了對凸弟刮目相看(這小子看起來漫不經心，之前問他暑期工讀找得怎樣，省話一哥回有在找，又問要不要安排到實驗室實習，其曰不必，猜想他大概是要跟他的嘛吉們到wegman打工，結果wegman還不要他們15這群小毛頭，心想這次暑期internship大概黃了，沒想到最終還跟本地15位其他高中生獲得2026 LLE High School Summer Research program)，更對我們羅城與有榮焉，小地方居然藏有世界級的高能物理研究設備與能量。

LLE的傳奇人物，Dr. Stephen Craxton（即羅切斯特大學雷射能量研究所 LLE 的物理學家 R. S. Craxton），也是長期的LLE高中生暑期研究計畫的指導者，已經七十多歲了，但是頭腦清楚的很，雖講話像蚊子一樣小聲，卻也是這場研討會的主持人，給每位主講人計時8分鐘，但6分半時第一次提示鈴就會起請，還真的會提問。其最著名的貢獻，是開發了用於慣性約束融合（Inertial Confinement Fusion, ICF）與雷射-電漿交互作用模擬的 SAGE 電腦模擬代碼（以及針對大型雷射設施如 OMEGA 和 NIF 的 極化直驅（Polar Direct Drive） 融合概念），據此改良OMEGA雷射提升成能析出UV的高頻以利實際應用。

Dr. Christopher Deeney: The current director of the University of Rochester's Laboratory for Laser Energetics (LLE) ，相當於研究所所長的地位. He is the fifth director in the history of the laboratory.
