2013採購楓糖漿

照例又到Maple Weekend ，今年活動從March 16-17 and 23-24, 2013 10am-4pm each day. 官方活動網站有提到楓糖漿對人體健康有益：A University of Rhode Island researcher has found 20 compounds in maple syrup that play an important role in our health (ScienceDaily, 30 Mar. 2011).  Some of these compounds have been shown to fight cancer, diabetes and bacterial illnesses‧ 是否可以保健，這可能比較難說，但是到農場親自選購既新鮮又有趣，這對我們就夠有吸引力，所以我們幾乎每年這時候都會到農場逛一逛。

今年小凸家找同事去跟往年不同家的農場(Packard Valley Farms)體驗一下，因為沒去過，凸爸事前跟農場確認，很快就收到農場的回應如下，感覺上應該不錯才對。

結果3/17當天早上風雪交加，把我們一行人給凍壞了，更慘的是大家都沒穿雪褲，搭露天的犁ㄚ甲牽引車時，每個人都坐到屁股濕透了，大概是這麼多年來印象最深刻的一次，不過這裡的楓糖漿是最便宜的，1加侖才45美元。

很冷，看起來狼狽的樣子。事後整理照片時，發覺這台犁ㄚ甲牽引車怎麼越看越像囚車啊！


同行的友人看起來也不怎麼好過！ 唉，該不會他們心理都在怨凸爸怎麼挑這種天氣帶大夥來受罪吧！


其實風景還是不錯的啦，這時候太陽露臉了，風雪也停了，望出去還頗有些許往日情懷的浪漫哩。


1加侖才45美元的楓糖漿還真是便宜(也可能大容量的包裝本來就相對便宜)


暗琥珀色(幫然也有人比較愛清淡透明的)楓糖漿才是我們家的最愛。
