20251101-Pittsford ‘Pull the Plug” Regatta on November 1

今年賽季最後一場划船比賽這星期六在隔壁的匹茲福鎮舉行，賽事名稱叫拔掉塞子大意就是這場比賽後，運河閘門就要關起來了，運河水位就會逐漸下降至乾枯，就像水缸拔掉水一樣。距離雖近，但是氣溫很冷，大約攝氏4-10度左右，果然賽後凸弟得風寒感冒，萬幸不太嚴重，隔天還能參加RPYO團練。

20251026-Head of the Schuylkill (Philadelphia) Regatta

為了參加這一場短暫卻很遙遠的賽事，差點給我們累壞了，兩天來回共開了700英里。費城是一座人文底蘊深厚的城市，有看頭也有不少美食，但是時間太短了，真的猶如蜻蜓點水到此一遊。

自由鐘（英語：Liberty Bell），又稱獨立鐘，過去稱為州議會大廈鐘（英語：State House Bell）或舊州議會大廈鐘（英語：Old State House Bell），是美國獨立的標誌性象徵，象徵著自由和公正。

第一天下午我們老倆口趁5:15PM集合前，先走到自由鐘打卡

草莓公館，這是全國性比賽，會場的停車位有限，隔天我們沒地方停車，只好停到這裏，然後再走40分鐘左右到會場

Hotel Info

• The team hotel is the Hampton Inn Philadelphia Center City- Convention Center.

• 1301 Race Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 19107

• The hotel offers Valet parking for $47/day

• In/out privileges are available

• Parking lot is one block from hotel in an uncovered lot

• Since we’ll need to check out before heading to the race site, the hotel will store luggage if you don’t want to leave it in your car.

• Check in time is 3:00 (but if you’re there early and your room is not ready, store the luggage and explore Philly!)

Saturday Night Dinner

• We will be serving pizza dinner to the athletes at the hotel the night before the race (Saturday night).

• Dinner will be at 6:00. Please plan to arrive in time for dinner.

• Parents are on their own for dinner

• The hotel has a list of nearby restaurants

Getting to the Race Site

• It has been highly recommended that we use Uber/Lyft/Taxi or walk to the race site - based on conversations with people from Philly (including a race official), it will be a hectic drive and there is limited parking close to the race site

• In case rideshare/taxi is not a viable option due to cost/demand, we have a task in the signup genius (see below) for parents to carpool/drive athletes to the race site

• We are trying to minimize our contribution to the congestion on race day!

• If you choose to walk, it is a safe walk. It’s about 2 miles (45 min average pace) from the hotel to Boathouse Row.

• If you take the Benjamin Franklin parkway, you’ll go by the Art Museum, where you can stop and take a picture with Rocky!

20250927-RPYO retreat at Sunshine Camp

RPYO 二天一夜的團建練習，規定第一天 (9/27) 9:30AM 前報到入住。地點在 Rochester Rotary Sunshine Camp 809 5 Points Rd Rush, NY 14543

這次主辦方挺用心的，居然第一天晚間還捨得出動巴士，載學員們回市區參加伊士曼的音樂會

第二天上午11點整音樂會開放家長聆聽，然後就地解散各自回家。我們第二天10點45分就到場佔個好位置，坐在觀眾席第一排(在指揮正後方)，這近距離live聆聽感受比柯達廳更震撼，而且這一回音樂會曲目主題是跟dance有關的，比傳統交響曲更容易親近，也可以觀察到各個學員的演奏功力，共演奏五條曲目，一小時下來讓人感到意猶未竟。

20250920-Lift Bridge Regatta in Fairport

凸弟的學校運動大致是春\秋兩季都是划船，而冬季是滑雪。秋天的賽季其實比春天還緩和，因為氣溫基本比春季高了攝氏十度，我們家長接送輕鬆不少，開學不久就迎來第一場比賽，地點就在上月參加音樂會的fairport。

說實話，這組成員的「漢草」都有待加強，速度的運動往往比的是體格
